Industry & Processes

Conveyor Belt Line

A stylised production line: products are dropped onto the belt, pass through a processing tunnel, get checked by a scanner and end up in a collection bin.

Key points

Loading — raw products (brown) fall from the hopper onto the belt.
Processing — inside the tunnel the product is packaged (turns blue).
Quality check — the light curtain flashes and a green “OK” label is applied.

What to look for

The belt runs at a constant speed and products arrive at a fixed interval, so the distance between them stays constant — the line is balanced. In a real plant the slowest station defines the throughput (the bottleneck).

Notes

Yellow floor markings indicate the hazard zone around the moving belt.
Try pausing the simulation and orbiting around the tunnel.

Simplified model — no real physics, dimensions are illustrative.
